There are certain people and businesses that I have come in contact with over the years that are so obnoxious that they deserve to be on my shit list. And here it is.
AT&T... First, we signed up for internet service only, which SUCKED. It cut out half the time and it was terribly slow. Then, we decided to add TV. The addition of the TV came with an unwanted phone line and an unwanted charge of $150 to (get this) install the internet. What the what? After several different angry calls, I was told the charge was reversed, only to find it STILL on my account, and over $250 past due, despite my monthly payments. Number errors are annoying, yet fixable, but the crazily bad customer service cannot be fixed, and that bothered me more than anything else.
Stevens Van Lines- Oh, where do I begin? Shall I begin with the pre-move inspection, where nothing was written down? Or how about the packers who left items unboxed, didn't label the boxes well, and didn't number them with those colorful military sticker thingies? Or how about the driver, who asked Hubby to drive around the city we had just moved to, so he can find the driver and bring the truck back to our house? Or how about the movers, who sweated THC all over our stuff and looked like a bunch of crackheads, even one telling me straight-up that he hadn't slept because he was partying all night and he couldn't wait to go home to smoke some pot? Or how about the move coordinator, Christie Calcaterra, who was by far the most incompetent of them all? Gee, I just don't know where to begin!
Ebay user chiquigeorgis2011, aka Vicente Vega... This person advertised a new in box, sealed, never used perfume. I won the auction and received a NOT new, NOT sealed, used perfume, which had decals broken off of it. When I left a bad review, this person asked me to take it back, then got angry when I wouldn't. Buyer beware, I guess. I sure as hell won't be dealing with this person again, and I hope nobody else has to.
Costco Alpha Omega Elite Carseat- I'm not sure it could be more impossible to get the cover off to clean it. There are lots of things to take apart just to get it off (the base, unthreading the belts, etc), and popping out those lower harness guides is seriously tantrum-provoking. When it's in use, the clips are easy to clasp to the LATCH system, but hard to unclasp. The straps don't glide very smoothly. I have to use a lot of force just to tighten them. And there is surprisingly little styrofoam impact protection. Like, really little. So little, that I'm thinking of modifying the seat to protect JC and get peace of mind. I mean, how much more expensive would it have been to add a few blocks of styrofoam, or padding, or anything to protect the passenger, not to mention make sitting in that hard plastic seat more comfortable??
Sirius Radio- These douchebags gave us a free trial when we bought our car. I didn't even want it in the first place, so three weeks before our trial expired, I called to make sure it would be cancelled. I was assured that I didn't have to do anything. The expiration day arrived and passed, still with Sirius. I called again and was told the account was no longer active. Still had Sirius for days after that. I called for the third time, bitched someone out, and was told there was nothing they could do because "the account wasn't active". Still had Sirius. Called for a 4th time, tore someone a new one, and was again told there was nothing he could do, and just enjoy the service while we had it. All I want is the whole satellite radio thing to go away and it won't because Sirius either doesn't have its act together and is providing free shit to people, or they are all bullshitting me and this account will automatically renew, and I'll end up calling again and again.
CA license plate #4SZG759- When you pass me (as I'm doing ten over), make sure you get into the other lane so you don't nearly swipe the side of my car. And I hope you lose control over your shitty Acura and drive off a cliff.
VA DMV- You're billing us for three years of unpaid taxes. Know why I haven't paid it?? Because I haven't lived there for three years!! Your "final notice" was my only notice, even though I had my mail forwarded after we left. And, I had notified the DMV of our move, did not renew my plates, and even sent our forwarding address. Get a clue.
.... Scratch that. Let's just put the entire state of VA on this Shit List. PNMC, the DMV, the entire city of Portsmouth... it's just all bad.
Myrick Photography- They sold my sister a crap SD card, then tried to pin the blame on her. When I went for the recovery CD, they also charged us for that. Why would the pictures needed to be recovered if the card wasn't bad?...
Pearl Family Dental- Thanks for giving me such a bad root canal that it became infected and needed to be redone twice. And thanks for missing those five cavities. I can't tell you how awesome it is to have a shit ton of my teeth drilled all in one day.
Charleston Naval Hospital
Delta Airlines- They lost our dog at JFK! The four hour trip took over fourteen and the poor thing wasn't the same since then. They also gave me the run-around during that fiasco. They wouldn't update me on his flights or where he was or any other details.
24 Hour Fitness- They kept charging me monthly fees after I had cancelled my membership. I had to participate in a class action suit just to earn a measly $20 of my money back.
