Milspouse Friday Fill-in #30

  1. What is your favorite MilSpouse blog (not including Wife of a Sailor who we all love, or your own)? submitted by Our Crazy Life
Definitely Just A Geek Named Jess because she's awesome.  I really love all of the milspouse blogs that are listed to the right, or they wouldn't be on there!  :)  Let me know if you're awesome (or if someone you know is awesome), and I'll add you- I'm terrible about updating that sidebar, so if I left someone off, I apologize!  PS, I don't get the "follow" feature, so I'm sorry if I haven't been using that, either.  I'm just technologically braindead.
  2. What are your favorite perks about your s/o being deployed (we all know there are perks)? submitted by Ramblings of a Marine Wife
    Less laundry
.  Oh, how I hate all the laundry I do on shore duty!  Come to think of it, less chores in general... it's amazing how messy one man can be.... And to think, someday I'll be living with three men...  I need to go throw up now.

  3. How long did you date your before getting engaged? Married? submitted by Utterly Chaotic
We dated for just under 5 years, married just after our sixth dating anniversary.  It wasn't until we moved in together that we got engaged officially (I was still finishing up my worthless bachelor's degree), but we knew we were going to get married after dating for about three years
    .

  4. What do you think your would do if s/he wasn’t in the military? submitted by Adventures of M-SquaredI really have no idea.  Hubby is the poster boy for how successful you can be if you take advantage of everything the Navy has to offer.  Because of the Navy, he went to college (and accomplished a lot of other kickass stuff).  Without the Navy, he might still be working for ADT, but who knows?  Of course, if he wasn't in the military, we probably would never have met!

  5. If you could talk to the Secretary of (fill in your appropriate branch) what is one suggestion you would like to bring to their attention in order to improve the lives of military families?  submitted by My Life as His (Air Force) Wife
Oh wow, tough question!!  I honestly don't know.  My first instinct was to say "timely orders", since Hubby is four months out from graduation and we still don't have orders.  But that only applies to us right now... Hm... I think, given the circumstances, the Navy does a good job of doing what they can to improve the lives of military families.  I've never had a problem that was a direct result from, or could be fixed only by, the Secretary of the Navy.

Awwwwe! Thanks! I truly love your blog too! Cause your hilarious and crack me up constantly and we have so much in common :D

Hubby is also the poster child getting your education while in the military. Had it not been for the Air Force he probably would have never finished his bachelors and started his masters, in fact I know he'd still be working for geek squad lol :)

From what I've heard, the "timely orders" thing is affecting a lot of people right now. I hope they get it fixed soon.
