In the past few years, I've been pulling just a few hairs on my head that appear to be gray. Once I have them in my hand, I can look at them more closely, and they were always blond.
No more.
This morning, I saw a suspicious-looking hair right in the middle of my part. As usual, I gave it a quick yank and wrapped it around my finger to see what color it was.
*I know, I'm a total whacko. I mean, who has a ritual for checking their hair color? But that's for a different post.*
It was gray!! Shiny, silvery, old-person gray!!
WTF? I'm thirty. Aren't I a little young to be picking out hair color? Although, I'm sure I'd have help...
What also kills me is that not only do I have little wrinkles and now gray hair, I also get the occassional zit. Isn't that just the meanest thing Mother Nature could do? I always thought I'd trade one physical rite of passage for another, like zits in high school and wrinkles after that, followed by gray hair. It seems a little harsh to have them overlap and experience it all at once.
Boo hoo. I'm friggin old. :(

Thanks for stopping by my blog the other day! I love the Pac NW. We are definitely going to be spending time here when we retire:) And if it makes you feel any better, I'm another 30 year old who has been pulling WHITE hair out. Not gray, white. Long strands too. So not cool!
i feel your pain, i've been pulling or covering gray since i was 18. but now i'm just letting it run rampant, so if you pulled your first gray hair at 30, i envy you! :)
it's official, we're getting old. no gray but definitely tiny wrinkles starting to form...and then there's these teeny tiny ugly veins that are starting in on the legs. gross. i hear ya, aging sucks.
