Random Tuesday Thoughts

randomtuesday

For the first time in my life, I used up an entire brow pencil. I think I usually throw them away before finishing them off.

WTF, pelvis???? Aren't you supposed to be healing???

My kids aren't scared by loud noises. Instead, they chime in with their own loud noises.

Mensa brunch was nice, but I think I might be the only person under 50 in this chapter.

The title for the car came in the mail, woo hoo!

I want to wake up every morning with impossibly gorgeous hair. I want to be able to just brush it out, then go. Instead, I have to use a brush, hair elastic, huge clip, blow dryer, flat iron, and Secret Weapon just to attempt to make it look the way I want it to look. That's why I've given up doing my hair. At least, while the kids are still below grade school age.

Chasing Fireflies. I just had to edit this, because I forgot the little dash in the URL.... makes a world of difference. I almost sent you all to a very, uh, differet site.

Today is a do-nothing day. Because it has to be. Because my pelvis won't cooperate.

Bath & Body Works is having a big hand soap sale. We didn't need any of this, but I bought 5 for $15 (you save $10, in case you were wondering). The scents were just so yummy!

JC just climbed a flight of stairs.

Hubby calculated that since moving here last November, we've spent $17K on stuff we didn't need. Yes, $17,000. On stuff we didn't need. Yikes.

Our electric bill is $36. When we turned our service on, PG&E said the average bill for our house was $300. What the......???? I can't imagine what the previous tenants must have been doing.

The first people to settle in Long Island, NY were Yiddish. In Yiddish, the "g" is pronounced, which is probably why most people from LI say "Long Guy-land." See? This is the kind of stuff we talked about at the brunch, and I loved it. :)

Head on over to The Unmom to link up and read more.
